Hello! My name is Glenda Pettaway. I am the owner of K.E.M. Supply Enterprises Group LLC located in Detroit, Michigan.  We are “A company on a mission with a vision to get it done.” I am a 58-year-old mother of two (Gabriel, 35 and Kayla, 21) with one grandson (Michael, 3). I grew up in Detroit since the age of five and I remember the vibrant neighborhoods and the bustling manufacturing that went on in the city.  As a retired Chrysler worker of 10 years, who went back to school to get my Bachelor in Social Work, established this company out of a need for my son and other mothers’ children who were coming from a past that left them unable to find decent employment opportunities. My thought was that if other employers wouldn’t give them a good job, I would create one for them.  Gratefully, in 2016, my son and a few other individuals were able to secure productive employment. However, there are so many others who are still in need of good employment. Through this experience, I discovered that the need I had to elevate my own son was also a need to elevate other sons and daughters.  This vision could only be accomplished through outreach and job creation and these two projects needed long-term funding. This vision is the driving force behind me and my company.  The magnitude of the vision is massive but achievable.  I want every company and individual purchasing a product from our company to know that you are becoming a part of something greater than that product.  You are investing in lives being changed through the revitalization of neighbors, restoration of families’, creation of jobs and the igniting of hope!!!  I take great pride in our accomplishment thus far.  All of our products are American made which means we are investing in job creation.  We are a transparent and integritous company as we are a part of the Better Business Bureau.  I truly hope that you will continue to check in with us to see the progress.  I plan on entering each milestone as they are accomplished.  Thank you in advance for your support!!!

The Plan

As K.E.M Supply Enterprises Grows in revenue we envision refurbishing one of the many smaller plants, closed in our city, to produce the Patent K.E.M Wear Uniform Blouse.  Currently it is being produced in Utah. This is our starting point.  We all know building is a slow and steady process and we are just getting started.  We ask for your prayers as we step out in faith and strategy to build a company that will impact lives for a greater good “One product at a time”.
